About the Programme & Service Users :
Project Legal Awareness for Youth (PLAY) Mentorship is a collaboration between the Youth COP programme and a group of undergraduate law volunteers from the National University of Singapore (NUS), whose volunteering efforts are also supported by the Faculty of Law Centre for Pro Bono & Clinical Legal Education. The primary objectives of PLAY Mentorship are to reinforce character development amongst mentees to prevent and deter them from succumbing to negative influences, to learn to be positive influence to others by inculcating in them a keen awareness and understanding of what is right and wrong, both morally and legally, through a positive mentoring relationship. The objective of the December’s Legal Awareness workshop includes: 1) To expose them to the knowledge on laws as they interact with law undergraduates to perform their roles as crime prevention leaders 2) To build connectedness and positive interactions with Youth COP peers and positive adults (volunteers) throughout the workshop.
